Fetal Medicine Foundation
Fetal diagnostics is not only a scientific task – it is a matter of trust. A single ultrasound image or screening result can profoundly impact entire lives – shaping decisions, family destinies, and futures. In 2009, I founded the Fetal Medicine Foundation to support this highly sensitive yet rapidly evolving field of medicine.

What is Fetal Medicine?
Fetal medicine is the collective term for modern medical examinations and interventions that aim to safeguard the health of both mother and fetus during pregnancy. These evaluations – typically involving ultrasound and blood tests – allow for the early detection of developmental abnormalities, genetic conditions, and maternal complications. In some cases, they may even enable treatment while the fetus is still in the womb.
This medical discipline has undergone dynamic development in recent years, evolving into an independent and innovative field that spans obstetrics, genetics, and diagnostic imaging. We are convinced that such screenings are essential for every expectant mother – because healthy newborns are born when maternal and fetal risks are identified and managed in time.
Our Mission
-
We support young obstetricians, gynecologists, and sonographers in applying world-class knowledge of fetal medicine in clinical practice.
-
We offer a trusted professional forum for second medical opinions in complex or high-risk pregnancies.
-
We make fetal medicine screenings accessible to families who would otherwise be unable to afford them.

Sharing Knowledge in Everyday Practice
The Foundation works closely with specialists at RMC Clinics, actively participating in national conferences, training courses, and professional development programs. As an educational hub, we are especially proud that the doctors and diagnosticians trained by us not only excel in technical expertise but also carry forward exemplary human and ethical values in their own practices.
